World Down Syndrome Day 2018

21 March 2018

3pm - 5.30pm
Langdon Down Centre

Every year World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on March 21st. Not only does the global community celebrate Down’s syndrome, the day allows focus on a particular issue.

This year, the global theme is What I Bring To My Community – All people with Down syndrome must have opportunities to contribute to the community and live valued lives, included on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society.

People with Down’s syndrome from the UK and around the world will be gathering at the UN in New York and Geneva to share their stories, highlight how their communities can be more inclusive and discuss ways to empower people with Down syndrome to advocate for their own rights and opportunities.

We’ll also be hosting a special Open House event at our National Offices at the Langdon Down Centre from 3pm to 5.30pm. Join us from 6pm for a special DSA showcase and presentations.
