HWA Summer Festival 2015

2nd August 2015.

The 2015 Hampton Wick Festival and Grand Parade, organised by the HWA, saw Henry VIII and his Tudor entourage touring round the village. The Intergalactic Kids’ Bike Fest was launched and the Grand Parade featured music, entertainers, a sailing boat, a rowing skiff, vintage cars and bikes, gorillas, allotmenteers and charity groups.

Border Morris teams Moonshine and Black Swan descended from the Isle of Wight and Carshalton respectively. This was Morris dancing as we’ve never seen it or even imagined it before.

And then the Hampton Wick Band and Sion Tudor Owen swung into action with a cameo performance by John Altman, showing once more that nobody, but nobody, parties like the Wick.
