Teddington Direct River Abstraction - consultation announced

Thames Water has announced the formal consultation for the Teddington Direct River Abstraction project (TDRA).
By way of a reminder, TDRA involves transferring water out of the River Thames to the Lee Valley Reservoirs and then recycling water at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works and transferring that recycled water through a tunnel to Teddington, to be released through a new outflow approximately 180m upstream of Teddington Lock.
The consultation will take place from 17 June to 26 August 2025.
From the start of the consultation, documents and information will be available to view and download on line. Printed copies of the documents will be available also at a number of local libraries, including Teddington Library. More information is available by clicking here.
